Fasting is a quick way to losing weight, and has both pros and cons. Reducing calorie intake will helps in weight loss and it is important to losing weight but only in healthy manner. There are various types of weight loss diet related to fasting such as intermittent fasting and detox diet. It depends on the type fasting such as staying hungry whole day or following liquid during fasting then it is not healthy for an individual in the long term. It leads to various nutritional deficiencies and weakness. Intermittent fasting is another type of fasting that can be effective and healthy only under the guidance of experts.
Side Effects of fasting for weight loss
Crash diets can lead to various health problems and most of the experts don’t recommend it.
Fasting can lead to high risk of dehydration problems as most people do not focus on water consumption which lead to dehydration and electrolyte imbalance in the body. If some one don’t eat enough then it may results in major effects of dehydration.
2. Muscle pain
Fasting can cause muscle cramps as there is chances of water loss muscle loss and pain is very common problem in weight loss diets. So it is important to choose a healthy eating plan to avoid such long term health issues.
3. Low blood sugar
Fasting can cause one to suffer from low blood sugar levels or hypoglycemia. If someone is suffering from diabetes then it is not suggested to follow fasting for weight loss, not eating adequate amount of carbohydrates or daily exercise can lead to sugar levels for everyone not just diabetics.
4. Weakness and dizziness
An unhealthy fasting can lead to dizziness, weakness, fatigue, headaches even fainting in some people. Nutritional deficiencies, low energy, levels and hunger can make extremely weak. This can harm career performance and result in depression and mood swings as well.
